Hello F.AVE families. I have been working in Special Education at City Schools of Decatur for the past seventeen years, starting at the original Glenwood 4/5 Academy. In 2010 I moved to Beacon Hill, working with students with different needs across grade level and subject matter. I earned my degree in Special Education and Early Childhood Education from Mercer University. More recently, I’ve worked with elementary students at Oakhurst, Westchester, and now F.AVE. I am excited to be starting another year supporting ESS students and their families. In my free time, I’m attending music concerts, art festivals, record shopping, and tending to my plant babies.

Nora Olson

Greetings! My name is Nora Olson, and it thrills me to work with your children this year!

I have been working as a fourth grade teacher at F.AVE since 2018. Prior to joining CSD, I taught in Gwinnett County and at KIPP Delta in Helena, Arkansas as a member of Teach For America. I earned my undergraduate degree at Emory University. Then, I completed my Masters and Educational Specialist degrees at the University of Georgia.

When I'm not teaching, I am either reading history books, gardening, or traveling with my husband and child.

Anita Robinson

Hi Fave Falcons! I am excited to start this school year as a fourth grade teacher. I graduated from the University of Georgia (GO DAWGS!) with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education, continued my education with a master’s degree in Curriculum Instruction, and just completed my specialist degree in Instructional Technology. I have been teaching for 19 years, with the past nine in Decatur. My husband John and I live in Reynoldstown with our son, daughter and 14-year-old dog. We love to walk along the beltline and go to United games!

Vanessa Williams

This is my 26th year teaching and my 10th year at F.Ave. I have taught first, second, third and fourth grades. Fourth grade is definitely my favorite. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree from Georgia State University then continued pursuing my education earning a Master’s degree and an Educational Specialist Degree. I proudly served 25 years in the United States Army.
